Hawaiian Pork Chops
Customer recipe by Nadine Mills
Added 76 months ago

My mother-in-law made this dish for me many years ago. I still have the original recipe that she wrote out for me. It was a favourite of my late husband‘s and my girls will still ask for it now on special occasions such as birthdays, rather than be take

Preheat oven to Gas Mark 6 /200degrees C

Fry/grill/oven bake pork chops until brown and after draining off excess fluid, place in ovenproof dish

Into a jug, pour the lemon juice, demerera sugar, drain the pineapple juice from the tin and add the cornflour

Fry off the onion, peppers and courgettes, if using and mushrooms in the oil until soft

Then add the mixture from the jug, bring to the boil and keep stirring until thickened

Pour over the pork chops and place in the oven until everything else is ready.

Serve with roast potatoes, chips, rice, green vegetables, salad or a mixture of all of them.
