I #TriedForFree figs as part of the Orchard scheme. I had never eaten figs and was a little nervous on how to prepare them. Why did I worry? They are so easy and delicious too!
Cut the figs into quarters.
Place into an ovenproof dish.
Drizzle the honey over the top of the figs and sprinkle on the almonds and cinnamon.
Place into a preheated oven 200°c for 8-10 minutes until the figs have softened, and the honey has melted.
Serve with Greek yoghurt.
The figs will release juice when cooked which when mixed with the honey is delicious!
Keep an eye on them in the oven as the flaked almonds can catch very easily and burn.
Can be served with other fruit for a delicious breakfast
