I used my ' try it for free' voucher from Tesco The Orchard to purchase my fresh juicy Lemons for this recipe,perfect result.

Lightly grease an line a loaf tin, heat oven 150 electric fan/4 gas. Sieve flour into bowl, slightly melt butter in microwave add to flour together with eggs sugar milk, juice and rind of one lemon and 1 tsp lemon essence mix with wooden spoon until all combined. Pour mixture into loaf tin. Cook for 45 mins or until brown on top...Squeeze the second Lemon into small saucepan over medium heat adding 2/3 tablespoons of icing sugar, increase heat an let bubble for about 15/20 seconds stirring all the time.Let cake cool for 10 mins prick with knife then pour lemon mixture over cake.Easy and perfect with a coffee.

If lemon mixture not thickening just add small amounts of icing sugar and turn heat up, but do not leave.
