I made this very healthy and delicious pavlova using regular strawberries courtesy of Tesco.

Heat oven to 120 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Draw the outline of an upside down 8 inch plate on to the parchment.
Place egg whites in a spotlessly clean metal or glass bowl. Beat egg whites until foamy before adding the cream of tartar and then whisk with an electric hand whisk until soft peaks are formed. Add the sugar one tablespoon at a time, beating at high speed between each addition. Continue whisking until the egg whites are stiff and glossy.
Spoon the meringue mixture into a large mound on the outline you drew on the parchment. Make the edges slightly higher than the centre.
Bake in the oven for an hour. Switch off the oven but leave meringue in oven to dry for at least 2-3 hours or overnight. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
When the meringue is dry and cool, place low calorie whipped cream (such as Elmlea) and sliced strawberries on top and serve.
