Cook macaroni according to the pack directions and drain.
Melt 50g butter in saucepan over medium heat. Stir in enough flour to make a roux. Add milk slowly, stirring constantly. Stir in cheeses and cook over low heat until cheese is melted and the sauce has thickened. Place macaroni in a large casserole dish and pour the sauce over macaroni and stir in well.
Melt remaining butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add breadcrumbs and brown. Spread over the macaroni and sprinkle with paprika.
Bake at 180° C/Gas mark 4 for 30 minutes.
To make an even cheesier macaroni cheese, sprinkle some more grated cheddar on top before baking.
