Found by a friend in a magazine about 30 years ago this is a great recipe that will continue in my family.
Peel and chop the onion. Make the marinade by mixing all the ingredients together adding the chopped onion as well.
Coat the meat using all the marinade and leave in a covered dish in the fridge OVERNIGHT or at least six hours.
Cook on the BBQ, turning frequently, until chops tender and cooked through. Can be cooked at 160 centigrade in centre of the oven for about an hour turning regularly.
Chops should be sticky with very little sauce remaining.
Ideal when you have company as best marinated overnight so can be prepared in advance.
