Most modern families do not have the size of pots to make the traditional dumpling and we are always bein told to eat healthier so this is a solution to both problems
Put fruit, water, sugar, spices, cinamon, marg and treacle into a pan.
Add 2 beaten eggs.
Line a microwaveable bowl with cling film making sure it comes up over the edges of the bowl.
Pour mixture into bowl. Note - DO NOT COVER
Cook in microwave for around 9 minutes (750 Watt) cooking times may vary
Leave untill cold and remove from bowl
This is not as unhealthy as the normal clootie dumpling as there is no suet added, introduce you friends to it and you will be able to sample this delight when visiting (this will allow yours to last longer)
