Preheat oven to gas 6, 200ºC, 400ºF. Place flour and margarine in a bowl. Rub the margarine into the flour until it looks like breadcrumbs. Add the sugar and strawberries, mix, and then add the milk and mix until it binds together.
Place on a floured board and roll out or flatten with your hand (to a thickness of about 2cm). Using a 5cm cutter cut into about 8-9 rounds.
Place on a nonstick baking tray and bake for about 10-15 minutes until browned and risen. Combine together the butter and lemon rind and serve spread onto warm scones.
