Clean the carrots and chop them into chunks. Place them into a food blender with the hot water and blend them until they are smooth. Allow the mixture to stand for 20 minutes then strain the mixture through a sieve into a large jug.
Meanwhile juice the 8 oranges. When cooled mix the carrot juice in a large jug with the orange juice and mix in some ice cubes. ALlow to chill for a few minutes then serve with a continental breakfast.
