put oven on at 200oC gas mark 5
cream the butter and caster sugar together, when light and fluffy, add the eggs (one at a time), don't add the next egg until the first has been mixed well into the mixture. add flour, cocoa and baking powder. when the mixture is all blended together, divide into 2 round baking tins and place in the oven for around 30 minutes, or until well risen and springy to the touch.
while the sponges are baking, prepare the cream.
melt the orange chocolate in the microwave for a few seconds, make sure you don't over heat it! leave to cool slightly. in the meantime whisk the double cream. in a different bowl mix the cream cheese and icing sugar together, when the chocolate is warm (not too hot) add it to the cheese mixture, mix well and then add the mixture to the whipped cream. mix well
when the sponges are cool, sandwich together with the cream, and with the remaining cream, spread it on top and around the cake. keep some aside to do some swirls on the top. grate some dark chocolate and decorate the sides of the cake, and then do some swirls with the remaining cream, and decorate with the orange chocolate buttons, and if you have any grated chocolate left, sprinkle a bit on top!! simply delicious :)
