I was first introduced to Pesto about 12 years ago, when someone cooked me a meal and used it, This had been the first time I had ever tasted it, and it was an amazing meal, so Pesto was something I have continued to use.
Boil the Chicken breasts in a Pan of water for the healthier option.
Put on another pan of water and add the free from pasta.
Slice Mushrooms and finely chop onions and Bacon (if you are using the optional ingredients) Then cook these off, either under a grill to keep it as healthy as possible, or fry in a little oil.
Once the Chicken breasts are cooked all the way through, cut them into smaller pieces. Add all finished and cooked ingredients into a bowl and add Pesto (green is best, but red is fine too) Best to use the 2 tablesppons as a guide, and just add to personal preference. The Meal is now complete, and very tasty!
The base for this meal is the Free from pasta and pesto, all other ingredients can be changed, altered to suit your own tastes and food restrictions. This meal can be eaten cold, hot, as a side, a main. It can be altered to feed more or less people. Just a quick simple easy meal.
