Fun pancake design that my daughter wants every year.
mix flour, eggs, milk and salt into a bowl and really stir it up, no one wants lumpy pancakes
place some butter into a pre heated frying pan and coat the bottom lightly
pour pancake mix into frying pan and cook until lightly browned (flip at your own peril)
leave pancake to cool slightly while you build the bear
body is half a peach, tinned tends to work better
one scoop of vanilla ice cream for a head (or chocolate ice cream if you want a brown bear), use a tea spoon to shape a paw
decorate eyes, (sleeping are easier) with little tubes of chocolate decorative icing and draw on the pads of the paw.
cut up banana into slices. Use one whole circle for mouth and two triangles for ears
blob some chocolate icing on centre of nose and in the middle of the ears
drape your cooled pancake over the body and arrange like a bed sheet.
eat quickly before he melts....
you can use white icing and brown ice cream for a brown grizzly bear and write messages using the decorative icing if you want on the plate. I used strawberry ice cream sauce.
