Perfect on a cold day!
Heat the oven to 180C
Fry the chopped onion in a little oil in a large heavy based saucepan.
Slice the bacon into chunks and add to the pan.
Add the pork and fry for a couple of minutes.
Cut the sausages into small chunks and add to the pan, frying until brown.
Add the chopped tomatoes, drained mixed beans, baked beans (with the sauce) herbs and wine or stock.
Bring to the boil.
Transfer to an oven proof dish if necessary and cook in the oven for about an hour, stirring occasionally.
Serve with warm crusty bread.
The amount of meat ingredients can be altered depending on what you have to hand. I often just use a pack of diced pork (approx. 400g) and just use a couple of sausages and bacon rashers to cut costs.
