My mother used to make this for pudding when we were children. Now I make this myself with the kids. It is so easy to do.
Wash and slice rhubarb and ut in a heatproof dish. Mix in granualated sugar.
Rub flour and butter together till it resemble fine bread crumbs. Add in caster sugar. Mix well. Spoon the crumble on top of the prepared rhubarb.
Bake in the centre of the oven for 45 minutes (Gas 4/350F/ 180C) till the top is lightly brown. Serve with custard or double cream.
Crystallined ginger can be added to the Rhubarb crumble to give the extra taste.
