Place the milk, coconut milk, sugar, crushed cardamom and rice powder in a pan and bring to a boil.
Then keep cooking on a medium flame, until the mixture thickens to the consistency of thick porridge. Keep mixing at regular intervals to ensure that the ingredients do not catch to the bottom of the pan.
Pour into individual dessert bowls, garnish with blanched almonds or pistachios and serve. Delicious eaten hot or chilled.
