My partner had high Cholestreol and these were one of the things he could eat without feeling too guilty, they are also very scrummy!.
Preheat oven 200c/ 400f/gas 6.
Lightly oil a large baking sheet
Sife together flour and baking powder, then stir in sugar, prunes, peel and lemon rind.
mix the oil and milk together, then stir into the flour mixture, to make a dough which just binds together.
spoon into rocky heaps on the baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, until golden brown, cool on a wire tray.
Any dried fruit can be used glace cherries and cranberries are very good also apricots and raisins, mix together your favourites.
