Royal rice recipe

Add this recipe to your binder.

Place the rice into the mixing bowl. An adult will already have cooked it for you, cooled it for a short time to room temperature, then transferred it to the fridge. Rice should be used within one day.

Wash and dry the peppers and apricots, before snipping them into small pieces using scissors and adding them to the mixing bowl. Children could also choose to add their favourite fruit and vegetables, such as raisins, grated carrot, tomatoes or cucumber.

Mix in the kidney beans. Children will enjoy seeing all the colours coming together!

Snip the coriander and sprinkle into the bowl.

Pour over the dressing.

Mix everything together and serve. You could also try using cooked pasta or potatoes rather than rice.
