Heat the oven to 200C, Gas 6. Grease a baking dish.
Put the salmon in a baking dish and spoon over the soy sauce. Scatter over the garlic. Put into the oven and cook for about 20 minutes until cooked through.
Put the potato slices into a pan of salted boiling water and cook for about 10 minutes until tender.
Cook the vegetables in a separate pan of salted boiling water.
Drain the vegetables and potatoes. Add the chilli powder to the potatoes and stir gently, crushing the potatoes.
Remove the cooked salmon from the oven and serve with the vegetables and potatoes.
Set the timer for 20 minutes to ensure the salmon and potatoes don't overcook
