add the lentils into a pan of boiling water. If you have a timer on your cooker, set for 45mins
slice the red pepper & onions while the lentils are boiling
put the sausages into a frying pan with the vegetable oil, cook until browned on the outside. Cut them in half and put into a casserole
add the onions to the frying pan and fry for about 5mins, add the red pepper and fry for another 5mons (until softened). Add to the casserole
when the lentils have been boiling for about 20mins, add them into the casserole along with the stock, mixed herbs, salt & pepper. Boil for 25mins.
best served with mashed potato
