Sausage Castle recipe

Boil the potatoes in boiling salted water for about 20 min until cooked. Drain and then mash the potatoes and also mashing in the milk and butter to make it creamy.

Gently fry the sausages in a little oil turning them until browned all over.

Heat the beans gently in a saucepan

Pile the mash potato in the centre of a dinner plate forming a large mound in the centre and shaping it gently with a fork

Pour the beans around the edge of it creating a moat. Place five sausages on their ends in the top of the potato, forming turrets. Place the final sausage between the potato and the edge of the plate creating a drawbridge across the beans
