Fry the onion in a little oil until it starts to brown, then add minced beef and cook until brown. Add the tinned tomatoes, puree and a dash of balsamic vinegar to the minced beef and leave to simmer, season.
Meanwhile cook the pasta in a large pan of boiling water, according to the instructions on the packet. Serve the pasta with the bolognese on top.
Garnish with basil leaves.
