this is a recipe from weight watchers
put the mince, bread crumbs, 1/2 finely chopped onion, grated carrot and courgette in a bowl along with the herbs and a lightly beaten egg , with wet hands mix the mixture up and then roll into about 20 balls.
to make the sauce in a lidded pan cook the onion in a little oil for 5 - 7 minutes on a medium heat until softened. stir in the garlic before adding the basil tomatoes and tom puree simmer the sauce while you brown the meatballs
in a frying pan brown the meatballs on a medium heat in batches and cook until browned turning often as they brown add to the sauce bring to the boil cover and simmer for about an hour until the meatballs are tender and the sauce is thick season to taste. serve with pasta of choice and top with parmesan
I learnt this, to wet your hands before rolling the meatballs into shape then the meat does,nt stick to the fingers
