A perfect recipe to make the most out of your leftover pork roast! This recipe is a mouthwatering leftovers idea from our Roast pork with sticky apples dish. The leftover meat needs to be thoroughly reheated until piping hot and should never be re-heated more than once.

Heat the oil in a medium sized saucepan. Finely chop the onion and add it to the frying pan. Cook for 5 mins until softened, then finely chop the garlic add it to the onions to cook for a fminute or two.

Add the vinegar, sugar, ketchup and chilli flakes. Leave to simmer for 10 mins, topping up with a splash of water if necessary, until the sauce is glossy and thick. Using leftover pork from a roast or barbecue, add the meat to the sauce and cook for 5-10 mins until heated through. Spoon the mixture into the burger buns and serve with the coleslaw .
