Place one litre of apple juice in a large saucepan with 3 star anise, 2 cloves and a crumbled cinnamon stick.
Add a sliced lemon and a sliced clementine.
Gently heat until hot and leave to infuse for 10 minutes before serving in mugs or heatproof tumblers.
For an adult version, replace half the apple juice with dry cider and add 2 tbsp apple brandy.
