Mix together the lemon zest and juice, cumin seeds, garlic and curry powder. Toss the fish and red pepper in the marinade and leave for 10 minutes.

Thread the fish and pepper onto 8 small skewers. Cook under or hot grill or over a barbecue for 10 minutes, turning once. Drizzle with any remaining marinade. Serve on a bed of watercress.

  • 400g (13 oz) cod fillet, cut into chunks

  • 1 red pepper, deseeded and cut into large chunks
