Preheat the oven to 200C/Fan 180C/Gas Mark 6.
Wash the sweet potatoes with cold water under a tap. It is your choice whether you want to peel the skin off or not.
Cut the sweet potatoes into half length ways and then the halves into thirds length ways to make wedge shapes.
Place the wedges into a large bowl and drizzle/spray olive/sunflower oil onto the wedges. Sprinkle paprika, chilli powder and pepper over the wedges and then toss them with your hands.
Place the wedges onto a baking tray and bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Turn the wedges over halfway through the cooking time to ensure an even bake.
Best served hot, straight from the oven.
Try serving with a dip such as ketchup or mayonnaise.
You can vary the amount of paprika and chilli powder you use if the wedges are not spicy enough or they are too spicy.
