Preheat oven to Gas 2, 150°C, fan 130°C, 300°F and grease and line a 20cm/8 inch round cake tin.

Melt the butter, mix in sugar and eggs. Fold in the flour then the bananas. Make sure they are well combined.

Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes, serve hot or cold.

Tip

Make this in a 900g/2lb loaf tin if you prefer
