I have made this cake with my son since he was about 10 and he is now away at university but we still make it together in the holidays as a special treat.
Grease an 8 inch tin and put oven on 180
Melt chocolate and add butter, sugar and egg yolks
Fold in the sifted flour
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into the chocolate mixture with a hand balloon whisk - gently
Pour into greased tin & cook for 35 minutes at 180
Once the cake is cooked and cooled melt the chocolate with the double cream over a pan of boiling water and use to top the fill the cake
