Peel, core and slice the apples and put in the bottom of an ovenproof dish. Sprinkle a little sugar on top.

Mix the flour, butter and sugar until they become like breadcrumbs. Add the oats, nuts, seeds and mixed spice. Tip the dry mix over the apples and bake in oven at 180°C for 40 minutes.

Serve with cream, ice cream or custard
