Season steaks with salt & pepper, drizzle with a little of the oil and fry in a hot pan for 4-5 minutes each side, then transfer to warm serving plates and set aside.
Put the rest of the oil in the same pan, and over a high heat fry the tomatoes and garlic for about 5 minutes until the garlic starts to colour slightly.
Add capers and lemon juice and cook for a further 2 minutes.
Add parsley and season with cracked black pepper
Pour over fish and serve.
Accompany with wilted spinach and mashed potato/swede/sweet potato for a satisfying change from cod & chips!
