In a bowl mix the soy sauce, mirin, fresh ginger, lemon juice, and garlic. Add the steaks, cover with the mixture and marinade in the fridge for one hour.
In a griddle or frying pan, heat the oil over a moderate heat and cook the steaks for a few minutes on each side. On a chopping board cut the steaks into strips or cubes and return to the pan.
Pour the sauce over the steak and cook for a few minutes. Present the steak on wooden skewers on a bowl of Jasmine rice with the chopped salad onions
