Halve the bagels and place them in the toaster at a medium setting.
While the bagels are being toasted, wash and cut the chives into segments of the desired size, cut open the packet of salmon, and remove the film lid from the tub of soft cheese.
Once the bagels are ready, spread them with a generous amount of soft cheese, top with the smoked salmon, and finish with a sprinkling of chives.
One packet of smoked salmon, one packet of chives and one tub of soft cheese is enough for five bagels.
