Fry the onion in a little olive oil till cooked.
Add the tomatoes, bring to the boil then simmer for 5 mins. Add the garlic and cream, then simmer with a lid on for 15mins.
Cook the gnocchi in a pan of boiling water till they float then add to the sauce with the torn basil. Put all in an oven dish, top with the cheese and then the bacon. Put under the grill for 3-4mins till bacon is crispy and cheese bubbling.
Delicious with a spinach salad on the side and of course garlic bread.
