Mix the flour- mix the self raising flour, salt pepper and add the beer three parts of the can.
Cut the potatoes into straight cuts ready to fry
Cut the gherkins into tiny bits and then add into the mayonaise. Give big stir and then the tar tar sauce is ready.
Dip the cod in the batter and then deep fry for about 5 mins and then do the same to the chips
Place the chips on plate and the cod and tar tar sauce and then tuck in.
