Start by parboiling the cabbage and in a separate pan boiling the potatoes.
Fry pork chops quickly on each side to seal, remove and add the onion to the pan.
Drain the cabbage and shred into pieces, add the cabbage to the onion with the pan and cook until golden, then take off heat and put into a ovenproof dish. Lay the pork chops on top.
Drain the potatoes and fry in frying pan until golden and add to the ovenproof dish along with the juices from the pan. Put dish in oven and cook gas mark 6 for about 40 minutes.
Tips: Very easy and quick dish. Can be adapted for 2, 3, 4 or more people. You can use more or less cabbage and more or less potatoes, as like. Can be prepared in advance. I sometimes add some wine to the pan.
