Proper pub chips
Golden on the outside and soft and fluffy in the middle, is there anything better than a bowl of fat crispy chips?
- Preheat the oven to gas 6, 200°C, fan 180°C. Pat the chips dry with kitchen paper and transfer to a large baking tray. Toss with the oil and garlic or onion granules, if using, and season.
- Spread out in a single layer and bake for 20 mins. Turn over, then bake for a further 30 mins until golden and crisp.
