Known as “Valencia water”, this simple cocktail is a classic Spanish drink using fresh orange juice, sparkling wine, vodka and gin. As the name suggests, it comes from the Valencia region and it’s the perfect tipple to get your party started. If you’re serving a crowd, fill glass pitchers and top with ice. See method

Add the orange juice, vodka, gin, sugar and fruit to a jug. Stir well.
Fill 6 glasses with ice and pour over the cocktail. To finish, top up each glass with sparkling wine.
Tip: This recipe would have originally used local oranges from Valencia where it was created, but any orange juice will work. To prepare in advance, make the cocktail as above then chill until needed. Just add the fizz when you serve.
