Ingredients

  • 1 ripe pear
  • 2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 small cinnamon stick

Method

  1. Core and slice the pear and put into a saucepan, reserving 2 slices.
  2. Add the fennel seeds, 500ml water and the cinnamon stick.
  3. Bring to a simmer and simmer gently for 5 mins. Strain into heatproof mugs and garnish with the reserved pear to serve.
