A warming hot toddy cocktail is the ultimate winter pick-me-up. This classic combination of sweet honey and smoky whisky is spiced with cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and lemon for an invigorating drink – perfect for a chilly evening or Burns Night celebration.

  1. Put the honey in the bottom of a heatproof glass or mug and pour over the whisky and lemon juice. Top up with boiled water and stir until the honey has dissolved.
  2. Add the cinnamon stick and cloves, then garnish with a little grated nutmeg and a fresh lemon slice to serve.
