  • 4 tsp golden caster sugar
  • 8 mint sprigs
  • 200ml bourbon
  • crushed ice

Method

  1. Start with 4 highball glasses or tumblers. For each glass, add 1 tsp sugar and the leaves from 1 mint sprig. Muddle together with a cocktail muddler or the end of a wooden spoon, lightly crushing the mint into the sugar.
  2. Pour 50ml bourbon into each glass and stir to dissolve the sugar.
  3. Fill up the glasses with crushed ice and stir again. Garnish with the remaining mint sprigs to serve.
