Robyn's 'successful' school run porridge recipe

Robyn's 'successful' school run porridge recipe

6 ratings

Weekday mornings are always hectic in the Harmsworth household. Mum Robyn’s usually trying to get ready for work while running around after her two youngest, who are still in their pyjamas. She’s got to get them dressed and ready, as well as coax her eldest out of bed, in time for the school run. Luckily, she’s got her trusty porridge to make things a little easier. She just sprinkles over a generous handful of berries and scatters on some sliced banana. It keeps everyone happy, and there’s usually some left for Robyn too – success! See method

  1. Make the porridge following the Quaker Oats pack instructions.
  2. Sprinkle over the mixed berries, then the banana.
  3. Alternatively, if you want to do something fun for younger kids, make a face with 2 banana slices for eyes and a line of berries for a mouth.

Little help

If you have any leftover berries, they’re great blitzed into a smoothie, or baked into a crumble.
