A perfect drink to begin the festivities on Christmas day. Put the prosecco in the fridge and the vodka in the freezer at least 1 hr ahead. See method

Ingredients

  • ice cubes
  • 200ml (1/3 pt) vodka, chilled
  • 120ml (3 1/2fl oz) elderflower cordial
  • 75cl bottle prosecco, chilled

Method

  1. Fill a jug with ice cubes. Pour in the vodka and elderflower cordial and gently stir to chill.
  2. Strain the liquid into another jug (discarding the ice) and pour into 8 Champagne glasses.
  3. Top up with the prosecco. Serve.
