Give a classic white wine spritzer a citrus twist with this grapefruit spritz recipe. An easy festive cocktail for two, simply shake together white wine with tart grapefruit juice and fizzy tonic water and garnish with pretty pink grapefruit slices. See method

Ingredients

  • 1 rosemary sprig, leaves only, plus 2 sprigs to garnish
  • 200ml pink grapefruit juice
  • 1 tbsp soft light brown sugar
  • ice cubes
  • 300ml white wine
  • 150ml low-calorie tonic water
  • 2 grapefruit slices, to garnish
If you don't have grapefruit, try oranges instead

Method

  1. Put the rosemary leaves in a cocktail shaker with the grapefruit juice, sugar and a handful of ice. Shake vigorously.
  2. Strain into 2 large, ice-filled glass goblets. Pour over the white wine and tonic water. Garnish with a grapefruit slice and rosemary sprig each. Serve immediately.
