Create a sweet summer sundowner using Scotch whisky, subtly sweet pear cider and black tea in this easy recipe. Top with ice cubes and garnish with a fanned pear for the perfect sunset tipple. See method

Ingredients

  • handful ice cubes
  • 50ml Scotch whisky
  • 50ml black tea, cooled to room temperature
  • 300ml pear cider, chilled
  • ½ a ripe pear, cut in half and thinly sliced, keeping the end intact to make a fan
  • 1 small mint sprig, leaves picked
If you don't have any pears, try using apples

Method

  1. Half-fill 2 highball glasses with ice. Divide the whisky and tea between the glasses and top up with the cider. Garnish with the fanned pear slices and mint.
