Amazing ways to use low-alcohol beer

Looking for some drinks inspiration this summer? We’ve got three new easy cocktail recipes made with low-alcohol beer (we’ve used 0.5% Adnams, but you can use your favourite) for a guilt-free cocktail hour. Choose between a pretty ‘straw-beer-y’ crush, fizzy ginger beertail or jug of frozen lageritas.

  1. 'Straw-beer-y’ crush

Don’t save strawberries just for Pimm’s or frosé – make this ‘straw-beer-y’ crush cocktail recipe this summer. Muddle together juicy strawberries with fresh mint and a touch of sugar, then top up with the low-alcohol beer for the perfect 5pm Friday drink on a sunny evening.

  2. Frozen lageritas

If you’ve got people round, skip making individual cocktails and make a pitcher of frozen lageritas instead for a simple crowdpleaser. Blitz together ice, beer, sugar and lime juice for a refreshing adults-only frozen slushie and add a salted rim to the glasses before you serve for a true bartender finishing touch!

Spice up your drink with this ginger beertail recipe. Give low-alcohol beer a fiery boost with thinly sliced fresh ginger and plenty of fizzy ginger beer, then add fresh lemon and serve over plenty of ice for a punchy drink ready in 5 minutes.
