With a salted caramel and chocolate sauce for dipping, the traditional fondue has been given a sweet twist in this deliciously indulgent dessert. A simple treat that can even be made over a campfire! See method

Ingredients

  • 200g (7oz) dark chocolate, chopped
  • 125ml whole milk
  • 130g Tesco Finest Salted Caramel Dessert Sauce
  • 1/2 -1 tsp rock salt

For dipping

  • 2 butter brioche rolls, halved
  • 2 bananas, thickly sliced
  • 150g (5oz) strawberries, hulled and larger ones halved
  • ¼ honeydew melon, deseeded, flesh removed and cut into wedges
  • 100g (3 1/2oz) cherries
  • 1 peach, stoned and cut into wedges

Method

  1. Put the chocolate, milk and caramel dessert sauce into a small saucepan. Heat gently, stirring occasionally. Once the chocolate has melted, stir continuously until thick and glossy. Add the salt to taste. Keep warm.
  2. Lightly toast the brioche on the camping stove grill or barbecue, then cut each half into 3. Serve the warm fondue with the brioche and fruit for dipping.
