How to make cranberry sauce

Follow our simple guide for making your own cranberry sauce this Christmas, it's incredibly easy and it can be made a few days ahead. This festive classic is sure to be the perfect partner to your turkey and brilliant in any festive leftover sandwiches.

Ingredients:

600g fresh or frozen cranberries
200g caster sugar
2 oranges, zested
3 oranges, juices
1 cinnamon stick

Method:

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl then transfer to a large pan and simmer for 10 minutes or until the cranberries have popped and the mix has turned syrupy. Remove the cinnamon stick then cover and chill your sauce before serving.
