Short on time? This harissa spaghetti recipe couldn't be simpler. Make a silky sauce with just 2 ingredients - don't forget to save a little pasta water to thicken the sauce. Serve alongside a leafy green salad for some freshness and plenty of Parmesan. See method

Ingredients

  • 100g salted butter, at room temperature
  • 1-1½ tbsp harissa paste, to taste
  • 350g spaghetti
  • 20g Parmesan, finely grated, to serve
  • small handful rocket, to serve
If you haven't got spaghetti, try using linguine instead

Method

  1. Place the butter and harissa into a mini food processor and whizz until smooth and well combined.
  2. Cook the spaghetti to pack instructions, drain and reserve a mugful of water. Add the spaghetti back to the pan along with the harissa butter and a splash of pasta water. Toss well to coat and combine.
  3. Divide between bowls and top with Parmesan and rocket.
