Ingredients

  • 6 rashers smoked streaky bacon, diced
  • 25g butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 250g pack fresh lasagne sheets
  • 1 small green cabbage, cored and shredded

Method

  1. Use scissors to cut the lasagne sheets into roughly 3 x 3cm squares. Bring two large pans of salted water to the boil.
  2. Meanwhile, cook the bacon in the butter in a large frying pan, set over a medium heat. After about 3 minutes, add the onion and continue to cook gently for 10 minutes more, stirring often, until the onion is soft and golden.
  3. Plunge the cabbage into one pan of boiling water and cook for 2 minutes. Drain well and add to the frying pan with the bacon and onions.
  4. Cook the pasta in the other pan of water for about 3 minutes. Drain and stir into the cabbage mixture, seasoning well with salt and pepper.
