From a colossal ice cream tower to an impressive no-bake panettone stack, these incredible Christmas desserts turn simple ingredients into gravity-defying showstoppers that add plenty of pizzazz to your festive table.

  1. Ice cream tower

This showstopping ice cream tower recipe is an impressive dessert to finish your Christmas meal. Ideal for making ahead, it can be stashed in the freezer and constructed quickly before serving.

Simply freeze balls of chocolate, salted caramel and vanilla ice cream overnight, then dip into melted chocolate and return to the freezer. Before serving, whip up a rich ganache by heating chocolate, cream and golden syrup. Stack the ice cream balls, dotting raspberries between them, and drizzle the sauce over. Scatter with nuts and edible glitter to finish. It's that simple!

  2. Black Forest baked Alaska

Feeling adventurous? Impress your guests with this spectacular Christmas dessert. We’ve combined two of our favourite puds to create a rich and chocolatey Black Forest baked Alaska. Sticky cherries and a generous splash of boozy kirsch meet dark chocolate ice cream, all topped with a light meringue. Don't forget a few festive sparklers to finish the look.

This is a challenging bake, but it can be assembled up to 3 days ahead of serving and stored it in the freezer to make things easier on the big day.
